SMSB stands for Setia Meranti Sdn Bhd. SMSB was  first an enterprise with a capital amount to RM20000. It is owned by Osman bin Mohamad, a person who had tremendous interest on furniture. With a small area of factory at address 122,jalan tun perang, sungai tapah, ipoh perak, he started the business with only himself as the worker, In 1990, setia meranti was about to join a program that came out with a condition. Only Sdn Bhd company are allowed. So because of that, setia meranti worked hard and managed to be SETIA MERANTI SDN BHD.
